Measures to support accessibility
Blended Learning Designs takes the following measures to ensure accessibility of Blended Learning Designs:
- Include accessibility as part of our mission statement.
- Overall, I'm developing and improving the user experience on a daily basis regarding accessibility and inclusive design. This is being done based on research and certifications in accessibility in digital learning as well as input from users of different abilities and disabilities.
Conformance status
The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Blended Learning Designs is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level A and AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.
Additional accessibility considerations
Blended Learning Designs is building on the accessibility requirements t be fuuly compliant with level A and is working towards level AA.

Limitations and alternatives

Known limitations for Blended Learning Designs:
- Website pages: Uploaded background and hero images may not have text alternatives because Inability to add alternative text in the LMS. An alternative is being worked on to provide the alt-txt via html and css when possible. Images being uploaded as background and hero images are being used as decorative only.
- Website pages: Some images may not have alternative text as I'm auditing every page that need alternative text added to and working on them.

- Self-evaluation against WCAG 2.1 level A and AA standards
- Use of voice-over and accessibility simulators
