Transforming Digital Courses with Kajabi: A Guide to Engagement

So, how do I use Kajabi to engage my learners?

In today's digital age, engaging learners is more important than ever, especially in online education. As educators and coaches, we strive to reach a broader audience by creating accessible and inclusive materials. In this blog post, I'll share my experience with using Kajabi and other tools to engage learners in my course, “Accessibility in Digital Learning.” Let's dive into the techniques I've used and the features that have proven effective in creating an interactive and rewarding learning experience.

#1 Gamification

Using Gamification for Enhanced Learning is one of the key strategies I've employed to engage my learners. In my course dashboard, powered by the Gamify Pro template from Jiffy Courses Online, I introduce several interactive elements:

➡️ Badges

Badges serve as a motivational tool for my learners by awarding them for completing specific steps or challenges within the course. This feature is managed through Kajabi's automation settings, allowing me to customize the achievements that best fit my course's objectives.

➡️ Game Board

The course includes an interactive game board. Learners can access this feature by clicking on an image that navigates them through various parts of the course. This not only makes the learning experience fun but also allows students to explore the course content through a different format which might suit some learners better.

➡️ Bonus Cards

To further engage my learners, I offer bonuses, which are unlocked when they reach certain milestones or complete particular activities. These bonuses are displayed on the dashboard as customizable cards, adding an element of surprise to the learning process.

➡️ Enhancing Accessibility

Making a course accessible in various formats is crucial to cater for different learners. One way I've optimized my course for diverse learners is by giving them different ways to access the content. In this course I used the left navigation menu, the board game and the more visual tiles on the dashboard.

#2 Interactivity

I use interactive activities that I create in my favourite tool, Genially to check learners' pre-existing knowledge and to reinforce learning. Directly embedded into the lessons within Kajabi, these activities allow learners to engage with content without leaving the lesson environment. This seamless integration not only keeps learners focused but also enhances their interactive learning experience.

#3 Social Learning

Social learning plays a crucial role in engagement. By utilizing Kajabi’s community hub, I’ve created a supportive space where learners can interact, exchange feedback, and keep each other accountable. Here’s how I'm using this:

➡️ Community Groups: Various groups encourage interaction among learners, fostering a sense of community.

➡️ Onboarding Pages: These help learners understand the first steps and navigate the community effectively.

➡️ Challenges and Competitions: Incorporating challenges related to course tasks invite healthy competition, boosting engagement and motivation through rewards and practical application.

#4 Accountability

Lastly, the live room functionality in Kajabi provides a virtual space for co-working and support sessions, further encouraging community building:

➡️ Open Live Room: Learners can meet at their convenience for group work or support, with the option to keep the room available continuously. This flexibility ensures learners can collaborate or seek accountability whenever needed.
